Video length must be at least 3 seconds

There are specific content length requirements when publishing videos on social media. If you receive a message stating that your video must be at least 3 seconds long, this means the video you uploaded is too short to post on your chosen social network.

  • Minimum Platform Requirements — Most social networks set a minimum length for video content (usually 3 to 5 seconds).

What to do?​

  • Increase video length — add additional frames to the beginning or end to reach the minimum length.
  • Use loop — For very short videos, you can use looping to increase the overall length.
  • Add an intro or outro — include a short intro or final frame with a logo or call to action.
  • Combine multiple short videos - If you have several short clips, try combining them into one video.
