Account does not support Reels, Shorts, or Stories

Some social networks do not allow certain types of content to be published through their API. We have implemented all possible publishing options, but if you see this message, it means the technical capability is not yet available on the social network's side.

Why does this happen?

  • The social network does not provide an API for publishing Reels, Shorts, or Stories.
This means that even if such a publishing format exists within the platform, the social network's developers have not yet enabled these posts to be placed through third-party services, including Postmypost. All available publishing methods are implemented only within the official API restrictions.
  • Available publication formats are limited by official integration.
Some social networks only support publication to the feed, excluding other content formats.

Common errors

Stories in personal VKontakte profiles

VKontakte does not support story publication via API in personal profiles. Stories can be placed only in communities, as the social network's API does not allow stories to be published on personal pages.

Stories in Telegram

The ability to publish stories depends on how Telegram is connected:

  • Via a bot — publishing stories is not supported because it is unavailable in the Telegram Bot API.
  • Via the Telegram app — publishing stories is supported.

To publish stories, connect the account via the Telegram app.

What to do?

  • Publish a post to the feed — this is an available publication option.
  • Follow updates on idea.postmypost.io — here you can subscribe to desired ideas and receive notifications if the social network adds support for new formats.
