Why is a post published under the name of a bot and not a channel?
If a post in Telegram appears to be from a bot and not a channel, this is due to the way Telegram works and the differences in the interface display across its versions.
Telegram does not provide the option to choose whether to display the channel or bot name when publishing. All posts technically originate from a bot. In older versions of Telegram, the bot may be explicitly listed as the source of the post instead of the channel name.
What to do?
-
Renaming the Bot: You can create a bot with a name identical to your channel name. For example, if your channel is called KFC, create a bot named KFCBot. This way, users won't notice the difference.
-
Updating Telegram: Ensure that users complaining about the bot name display are using the latest version of Telegram, where the interface may be more consistent.
These measures will help minimize confusion among the channel's audience.
