Why do I see “the bot is not an administrator of the channel” when connecting an account?

When connecting a Max channel, you may see a message saying that the bot is not an administrator. This means the service does not detect admin rights for the bot in the selected channel, so posting and reading data are unavailable.

Possible reasons

  • The bot was added as a member but was not granted admin rights.
  • The bot is in the channel, but its admin rights were removed or limited.
  • The bot was added as an administrator earlier but was later removed or blocked.

How to fix

  1. Remove the bot from the channel completely — both from the administrators list and from the members list.
  2. Add the bot back to the channel as a member.
  3. Grant the bot administrator rights.
  4. Send any test message to the channel (from a human administrator). This helps refresh the channel state.
  5. Return to Postmypost and reconnect the channel.

If the message still appears after these steps, make sure you are selecting the exact channel where the bot has administrator rights and that the bot has no restrictions on posting. You can also try reconnecting the account and clearing the browser cache.
