Not enough tokens for publication
Starting May 2026, the X platform (Twitter) charges for the use of its API. An API is a special interface that allows our service to "communicate" with the social network and automatically publish your posts. Due to this innovation, we are also forced to charge an additional fee for publications in this social network.
Cost calculation examples
The cost depends on the type of publication: X charges differently for posts with and without links.
- Text post (no link): 1 publication request = 15 tokens.
- Text post with a link: 1 publication request = 160 tokens.
- Post with images (no link): uploading each image + publication request. For example, 1 image = 5 + 15 = 20 tokens, 4 images = 20 + 15 = 35 tokens.
- Video: video uploading is performed in several stages (initialization, data loading, status check). Sometimes the file upload does not happen the first time, and we request a status check more than once, so publishing a video requires a larger number of API requests.
