Connecting Instagram via Facebook

Connecting Instagram to Postmypost through Facebook not only allows you to manage posts but also to access advanced analytics, audience statistics, reach, engagement, and other important data. It also provides the opportunity to work with comments, messages, and enhances the integration of Instagram into business processes.

What is needed to connect?​

  1. Instagram business account
    The profile must be switched to business account status. This can be done in the Instagram settings under "Settings" → "Account" → "Switch to professional account."

  2. Facebook public page
    You need to create a Facebook public page, as Instagram business accounts are only managed through a linked page.

  3. Link Instagram with Facebook
    In Facebook settings under Linked accounts, check that your Instagram business account is connected.

  4. Administrator rights
    You must have administrator rights to the Facebook page, otherwise connection will be unavailable.

Features of connecting Instagram via Facebook​

It is important to know that only one Instagram account can be linked to one Facebook business page. This means that if you have multiple Instagram accounts, each of them must be linked to a separate Facebook page. If you have 10 Instagram accounts, your Facebook account must have access to 10 business pages, each linked to its own Instagram account.

Connecting to Postmypost​

  1. In Postmypost, go to the "Accounts" section and click "Connect."
  2. In the window that opens with the list of social networks, click "Connect" next to Instagram.

  3. In the next window, click "Connect" next to “Instagram via Facebook.”

  4. A window will open for the official connection of the Instagram account to Postmypost, indicating what specific data and rights Postmypost requires for operation. Make sure you agree to provide access and click "Continue."

  5. After a successful connection, you will be automatically redirected back to Postmypost, where a list of available accounts for connection will open. Check the box next to the desired ones and click "Connect."
