Requirements and restrictions

Here are simple rules for successful Discord posting.

File size limits​

  • For non-Nitro subscribers, the maximum file size for uploads is 25 MB.
  • If you have Nitro, you can upload larger files, up to 500 MB.

Supported file formats​

Discord supports a wide variety of file types. Here are the most common examples:

  • JPEG
  • MOV
  • MP4
