Creating an application

  1. Go to the Discord Developers Applications page.
  2. Click the "New Application" button to create an application.
  3. Give your application any name.
  4. Check the consent box and click "Create".
  5. Optionally, add an icon for the application.
  6. Click "Save Changes" to save.

Creating a bot

  1. Go to the "Bot" page.
  2. Set a name for the bot. This name will be displayed when publishing messages in the Discord channel.
  3. Scroll down to the "Bot Permissions" section and check the necessary permissions.
  4. Click the "Reset Token" button.
  5. Save the token that appears; it will be needed for further setup.
  6. Go to the "OAuth2" section and select "URL Generator".
  7. Check "Bot".
  8. Then select the necessary permissions for the bot.
  9. Copy the generated URL.
  10. Paste the copied URL into a new browser tab and open the page.
  11. Choose the desired server and click "Continue".
  12. Click "Authorize" to add the bot to the server.
  13. Go to the server by clicking the "Go to server" button.
  14. Ensure that the bot is added to the server and displayed on the right.

Connecting Discord to Postmypost

  1. In Postmypost, go to the "Accounts" section and click "Connect".
  2. In the pop-up window with a list of social networks, click "Connect" next to Discord.
  3. Enter the address of the desired channel, the bot token, and click "Connect".
  4. After successful connection, you will automatically return to Postmypost, where a list of available channels for connection will open. Check the desired ones and click "Connect".
  5. Congratulations! Discord is connected.
